About
In cooperation with other social service agencies across a 6-state area, Latino Family Institute is offering training to improve awareness and knowledge of infant adoption among health care professionals in rural and underserved areas.
The goals of the Infant Adoption Training are tri-fold:
- To increase the number of health care professionals who are comfortable presenting adoption options and who feel confident in their knowledge and the legal process.
- To increase the health professionals ability to make appropriate referrals.
- To expand training curricula to include relevant legal information, address cultural sensitivity, and educate on the practices of adoption.
Latino Family Institute has been awarded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services a grant, which demonstrates the leadership of Latino Family Institute in the field of adoption. This is a great opportunity for health care professionals to become more informed about the gifts of adoption. |
